DNS troubleshooting

DNS translates a domain name into the network address used to reach a server.

Check the domain

Confirm the spelling and try the site's main domain if a particular page fails.

Compare connections

If the site works on mobile data but not on Wi-Fi, your local DNS resolver or network may be involved.

Restart carefully

Restarting your browser or router can clear temporary issues. Changing DNS providers may help in some cases, but follow your network administrator's advice on managed networks.

Consider propagation and configuration

New or changed DNS records can take time to be reflected across resolvers. Incorrect records require the domain owner to fix them.
